Who will be the successor of Sylvain Tesson, the 2014 Prix Nice Baie des Anges winner, for “Sโabandonner ร vivre” published by Gallimard?
Sponsored and endowed by the capital of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, this literary prize has been rewarding a novel published in the twelve months preceding the Nice Book Festival for 20 years.
This Thursday, the eight nominated novels were unveiled and presented at the Villa Massรฉna in Nice by the jury. Presided over by Franz-Olivier Giesbert, it brings together writers Paule Constant, Irรจne Frain, Aurรฉlie Hustin de Gubernatis, Didier van Cauwelaert, Laurent Seksik, Jean-Luc Gag, Municipal Councilor for Literature, and Nicolas Galup, editor-in-chief at Azur TV.
Since its creation in 1996, this literary prize has honored novelists: Patrick Renaudot, Raoul Mille, Franz-Olivier Giesbert, Gรฉrard de Cortanze, Claude Imbert, Jean-Noรซl Pancrazi, Paula Jacques, Vรฉnus Khoury-Ghata, Richard Millet, Eric Fottorino, Jean-Paul Enthoven, Didier Van Cauwelaert, Saphia Azzeddine / Renรฉ Frรฉgni, Daniel Cordier, Laurent Seksik, Aurรฉlie Hustin de Gubernatis, Romain Slocombe, Valรฉrie Tong Cuong, Sylvain Tesson.

A jury of ten readers, lovers of books and words, has been selected and will participate in the deliberations, and the winner will be announced on Thursday, May 21.
The Prix du Livre Nice Baie des Anges will be awarded by Christian Estrosi at the opening of the 20th edition of the Nice Book Festival (June 5, 6, and 7, 2015).
