Like the film Paranormal Activity, things start off fairly innocuously but intensify significantly as the pages go on. Ollie is both the most impacted character and the one most stubbornly determined to stay in this house. It’s mysterious, gripping, unsettling, and ideal for this winter season!
The House of the Forgotten is a fantastic thriller that reads well, although one might sometimes wish the author had pushed certain scenes further, ultimately delivering something rather tame. Nonetheless, Peter James’s book remains an effective entertainment.
