The 36 finalists of the event “I’m moving with the city of Nice and Christophe Pinna” and municipal and community agents registered
for the Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon 2011.
During this 2011 edition of the Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon, French Marathon Championship, Christian Estrosi will proudly represent the colors of the city of Nice and Nice Côte d’Azur alongside the finalists of the event “I’m moving with the city of Nice and Christophe Pinna” and municipal and community agents.
-A marathon in the exceptional setting of the Riviera!
The 42.195 km course running along the seafront from Nice to Cannes showcases to marathoners the most beautiful tourist spots of the Riviera: Saint Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet, Antibes Juan-les-Pins, Vallauris Golfe-Juan, then Cannes and its Croisette.
The sun, the sea, the palm trees, the glamour… an exceptional setting for a “5-star Marathon.”
As in 2010, Christophe Pinna has thus trained nearly 70 residents of Nice over several months wishing to complete the Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon 2011 in relay.
In the end, 36 selected people will participate in the 4th Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon this November 20.
-The city of Nice and the marathoners in solidarity with the Emmaus community
The participants in the Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon will have the opportunity to show solidarity during this major sporting event.
On this occasion, the Emmaus group, through the Emmaus Community and the Relay, is organizing a clothing drive for the benefit of the needy. The aim is to encourage participants to donate the clothes they will wear at the start and no longer need during the race.
The collected clothes will be sorted and either valued or recycled. The Emmaus Relay, a professional textile insertion company and initiator of the eco-textile tax, will direct the textiles to the following destinations: valuation and then sale in shops, export sale, shredding, rags, and metisse (textile thermal insulation for walls).

About forty agents from the city of Nice and Nice Côte d’Azur will start at the same moment as the 10,816 participants in the Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes Marathon 2011.
