Nice Premium: Marie-Chantal Gomiz, you are the new President of the association “Fenêtre sur Com’”. What is your first reaction?
Marie-Chantal Gomiz: I am very happy to have been elected! Truly, this recognition by my peers sincerely touches me. And I take this opportunity to thank them once again.
NP: What will be the first steps of Marie-Chantal as President?
MCG: It will be to continue the philosophy established by the Founding President, Ludmila Spiridakis, and outgoing President Odile Catherinet, who gave the association a new breath of life for 7 years! To re-energize the association’s website and organize various events. Well supported by the Board members, composed of: Gérard Réus, 1st Vice President, Cyril Dunaud 2nd Vice President, Andrée Cantelli, Treasurer, Nitya Fornaresio, General Secretary, Alain Cloetta in charge of protocol, and all the active members, I will do everything to perpetuate and improve the actions carried out by Fenêtre sur Com’. I hope to open the association to students and their teachers by allowing them to participate in the events we are going to organize, revitalizing the breakfast debates that were unanimously popular when they were created. Not to mention continuing our recruitment among communicators.
NP: What are the main activities and events of “Fenêtre sur Com’”?
MCG: Organizing events such as “Coaching”, “Stress Management”, “Crisis Communication”, “Impact of Weather on Business”… we are already working on the preparation of the 11th Communication Palms, a flagship event of our association, which will be celebrated this year in an innovative and expanded way in a prestigious yet little-known location among the people of Nice!
NP: Are there also some conferences planned for the year 2008?
MCG: We are going to deal with mainstream topics to interest the largest number of people… The next theme to be addressed in spring concerns a universe appreciated by all,
Fine taste buds, save the date… But let’s keep the secret a little longer…
NP: Finally, what do you wish for “Fenêtre sur Com’” for this new year under the sign of communication?
MCG: Much success in our endeavors, recognition that would go beyond the department’s borders! To the east, among our transalpine friends and to the west towards the Var and Bouches du Rhône. Our ambition is also to transmit to the younger generation and relay through our experiences in organization and “on-the-ground” communication, the teachings provided by different schools and institutions. And I continue to believe that we must get closer to the educational and university world.
