A ceremony lasting a few dozen minutes, a Chant des Partisans, and a Marseillaise. A single wreath was placed in front of the Rauba Capeรน monument, without an audience.

A very small committee, due to social distancing, with sparse attendance. Four flag bearers were able to attend the ceremony.

The prefect of Alpes Maritimes, Bernard Gonzalez, believed that, “even at a minimum, it was absolutely necessary to maintain the celebration.”

For the veterans, giving up these commemorations and the duty of remembrance was out of the question: Rรฉmy Giacchero, departmental director of the National Office of Veterans and War Victims, was indeed present at the ceremony.
