The department of Alpes-Maritimes is facing a rainy and stormy episode from Wednesday night to Thursday and Thursday morning. Coastal areas will be most affected by intense rain, with accumulations of 30 to 50 mm possible in a short period.
The episode’s total accumulations could locally reach 80 to 120 mm. In general, under the storms, strong electrical activity, hail, and strong gusts of wind are also expected.
To ensure the safety of individuals, the Prefect of Alpes-Maritimes has activated the Departmental Operational Center responsible for coordinating the information feedback from local authorities, meteorological services, and emergency services.
