This Monday, January 9, 2012, at 10 AM at the Mediterranean University Center, the first metropolitan council will be held, which will establish the first Metropolis of France: Nice Côte d’Azur.

There should be no surprises concerning the identity of its President, but this is a first assembly to follow closely, particularly regarding the compositions and elections of the various office members.
Agenda:
- Election of the President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis
The Metropolitan Council is responsible for electing the President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis. Secret ballot voting operation.
- Approval of the Metropolis Charter
- Determination of the number of Vice Presidents
The Metropolitan Council is responsible for determining the number of vice presidents, which cannot exceed 20% of the Council’s members, and a maximum of 15 vice presidents.
- Election of the Vice Presidents
The Council is recommended to proceed with secret ballot voting to elect the 15 vice presidents, in accordance with the general code of local authorities.
- Composition and election of office members
The Metropolitan Council is proposed to set the composition of the metropolitan office.
- Metropolitan Commissions – Creation
The creation of metropolitan commissions covering all areas of competence of the Metropolis will be proposed to the Metropolitan Council.
