Micky Green in concert in Monaco on October 8, 2010

The splendid Australian will warm the heart of the Principality with this concert event on Friday, October 8th, in the Salle des Princes at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco.

In 2007, Michaela fulfilled her childhood dream: having become Micky Green, she recorded her first album, “White T-Shirt,” in France. This white t-shirt revealed the alluring shoulder of a chic but makeshift world with languorous and minimalist pop.

The childhood dream has since become very real: 180,000 records sold, a concrete hit – “Oh”, multiple concerts and festivals, a nomination at the Victoires de la Musique…

In 2009, the time for confirmation had come. And it is a more mature and more confident artist who returns to business with this second album, “Honky Tonk,” which fully reflects her.

It still features her signature clear-line glamorous pop. Except now she frankly warms it with an irresistible smooth groove, padded with vintage keyboards, sensuous round bass lines, and transcendent rhythmic plateaus.

A well-balanced new repertoire, perhaps because the album, while maintaining its makeshift computer-corner vibe, was also composed via the drums, the Australian’s favorite instrument, which she has been playing since the age of 11.
