Nice Première: Véronique, do you see yourself more as Miss Gally or Doctor Chive?
I’m rather just myself, which is already quite something! My dark side is embodied by my beloved carnivorous plant.
Nice Première: How did the idea for your blogs come about?
One half-moon night, I had a revelation; I had to create my blog, my future fame was there, tangible under a few clicks. I started with the 20six host, initially posting some terrible drawings now and then. Moving to ciboulette.fr, I imposed a rule to draw more frequently and, if possible, better.
Nice Première: What type of flower is Georgette?
A carnivorous flower extremely dangerous who dreams of becoming the master of the world and enslaving the masses… she has a soft spot for muscular cacti.
Nice Première: What is Miss Gally’s type of man?
My lover is everything I could ever dream of in a man. He is the perfect embodiment of my wildest desires, the ideal male model, the long-awaited prince charming.
He better know how to do the dishes well, or all my dreams will collapse.
Nice Première: Why a LovE Blog?
When I started dating my lover, I flooded my blog with mushy, and to some of my regulars, annoying drawings. So, we set up a little blog just for ourselves to make everyone jealous of our wonderful love story.
Nice Première: The plans for Véronique, Miss Gally, and Georgette in the coming months?
Véronique is cooing with her lover and certainly plans to tie the knot… uh, put the ring on the finger? Uh… no, nothing, just cooking a good chicken in sauce will be fine. Miss Gally is tinkering with her little comic projects, which she will soon send to publishers. Georgette, meanwhile, is counting her petals and can never finish because she never remembers which one she started with.
Nice Première: Can you imagine yourself one day in a paper comic?
I certainly hope so! In fact, I will be co-directing the Miniblog collection at Danger Public. We are going to publish 10 authors in the form of mini-comics, and I will be one of them. On the agenda, the origins of Georgette.
Nice Première: If I say: Nice, Drawing, Love, Blog. What do you reply?
Nice: Sun, relaxation, the smells of the market in the morning, socca by the sea. Drawing: Passion. Love: just like drawing actually, it’s quite symbiotic. Blog: Hobby, fun, interactivity, games.
Nice Première: And if Véronique was a song, a book, and a movie?
Song: “I Only Love Myself” by Boris Vian. Book: “Sudoku, Hyper Difficult Level” because it amuses me a lot right now. Movie: “Gone with the Wind,” because I am an incurable romantic.
