MJC Picaud: events for the month of November

Latest News

First of all, from November 9 to November 15, 2011, the “Studio 13” at MJC Picaud is offering two films. “Curling” by Denis Coté, and “Pure” by Lisa Langseth to be viewed at 23 Dr. Picaud Avenue in Cannes.

These two screenings talk about the smallness of life and its difficulties in a manner as gentle as the arrival of winter.

Slow Joe & The Ginger Accident will visit us on November 10 at 8:30 PM at the tangent (SMAC) of MJC Picaud.

A few words about the artist:

Slow Joe, 68 years old, has spent his entire life on the fringes of society, between Bombay, Delhi, and Goa, singing to himself the blues he felt after an unfortunate love story in his youth. The 2011/2012 season will be marked by the release of his first album on October 17, 2011, and a national tour. Events not to be missed by all fine blues enthusiasts. Opening for this concert filled with nostalgia and warmth, we will have the Dino Farfisa. A little touch of 60’s Rock performed with timeless fervor.

An imperishable novelty for young people aged 11 to 17: A VIDEO and MAO workshop.

In other words, since the 2011 All Saints’ Day vacation, young people can learn about video or computer-assisted music. During holidays, of course, but also outside of them. A great way to approach cinema of a new kind.
