At a time when nearly 9 million French people live below the poverty line, “the National Food Bank Collection is, every year, more than 130,000 volunteers who mobilize to collect in 2 days the equivalent of 24 million meals, thanks to everyone’s generosity,” says Jacques Bailet, President of the Food Banks network.
On the occasion of the National Collection on November 24 and 25, the 79 Food Banks spread across the entire territory will mobilize with a common goal: to provide quality food assistance to people in precarious situations.
Out of the 106,000 tons collected each year, the 12,000 tons collected in 2 days, equivalent to 24 million meals, will make all the difference!*
The Alpes-Maritimes Food Bank, in a few figures:

100 partner associations and CCAS
130 permanent volunteers, equivalent to 32 full-time jobs
