The Ministry of Culture has just granted an exceptional increase of €500,000 to the National Theater of Nice, as well as an increased subsidy of €150,000 starting in 2020.
It should be understood that the arrival in Nice of Murielle Mayette-Holtz, newly appointed at the head of the TNN, is not unrelated to this ministerial decision.
Christian Estrosi is pleased with this measure, which will provide more resources to the TNN to become “a national reference point for the development of theater and the performing arts for all audiences.”
The City of Nice subsidizes the National Theater of Nice to the tune of €1,520,000 per year.
