Thursday, June 20th, from 10 AM to 6 PM, Dante Street, between Potiers Street and Grosso Boulevard, will be closed to traffic for a special day dedicated to children.
This initiative is organized by the Metropole Nice Côte d’Azur and the City of Nice, in collaboration with parents’ associations and the teaching teams of Jean Moulin and Simone Veil schools. It is also in partnership with Nice à Vélo and renews the “Children’s Street” operation.
The objective of this day is to create a wellness space for residents, inhabitants, and schoolchildren. Dante Street will transform into a car-free zone. Children can thus explore and use the public space in a secure and playful manner.
The day will be divided into four phases to better organize the children’s participation. First, from 10 AM to 12 PM, a time slot will be reserved for kindergarten students from Jean Moulin and Simone Veil schools. Then, a picnic break will take place from 12 PM to 2 PM at Simone Veil school. From 2 PM to 4 PM, primary students from Simone Veil school can enjoy the planned activities. Finally, from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, the event will be open to all children, allowing them to participate in the various proposed activities.
