New fountain at Place du Pin

A new fountain was installed this Wednesday morning in the Place du Pin in Nice. Closed for more than a month, the reopening of this water fountain was very well received by the locals and tourists, who can once again cool off.

Since the beginning of the summer, the water had been cut off in the Place du Pin. According to the town hall, the use of the fountain was “inappropriate” and generated “nuisance and incivility.” Last July, this decision caused indignation from the association “All Citizens,” which condemned the measure as anti-homeless.
