On Friday, June 6th, a drone and music show will enliven the Promenade des Anglais and the Quai des États-Unis. This event is part of the 3rd United Nations Conference on the Ocean, which will commence a few days later.

The public is invited at 8:30 PM to attend a “musical prelude” with two major figures of the French electronic scene. Agoria, known for his participation in the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, and Cassius, an emblematic group of the “French touch”, will perform in turn. The evening will culminate in a joint set, with the two acts performing behind the decks together.

At 10:45 PM, the sky will come alive with a ballet of drones, designed by the company Dronisos. In total, 2025 synchronized drones will create luminous displays visible from the sea and the city. A rehearsal has already been spotted in recent days. This performance sets a record in Europe due to its scale.

A festive event preceding in-depth debates

The show aims to highlight the richness and fragility of marine ecosystems. The planned animations will address marine biodiversity and the challenges related to its protection. This moment will set the tone for the upcoming international meetings.

Heads of state, mayors, scientists, and activists for the sea will gather in Nice starting June 9th. Their goal: to reach a global agreement in favor of the ocean.

The show is free and open to all. The organizers expect many spectators on the Niçois coast since the show will be visible from much of the Promenade des Anglais.
