A few days before the arrival of Paris-Nice, the azure capital is already looking ahead to two years from now and the historical hosting of the world’s greatest cycling competition.
After hosting the Grand Dรฉpart of the Tour de France in 2020, the city of Nice is preparing to take a new step in its beautiful history with the Tour de France. Indeed, for the first time in its history, the Tour de France will not end in the Paris region or on the Champs-รlysรฉes, but in Nice, on July 21, 2024.
Already made official in December during a press conference, this historic change of finish is due to the organization of the 2024 Olympic Games, which will begin in Paris around the same time (July 26 to August 11).
The route of the 21st stage up to the exceptional finale by the Mediterranean will be presented and detailed by Mayor Christian Estrosi, the Prefect of Alpes-Maritimes Bernard Gonzales, and the organizers of the Tour (Christian Prudhomme and Yann Le Moรซnner) this Monday, March 13, 2023, at the Opรฉra de Nice.
