The city of Nice is launching its autumn vaccination campaign. It offers free Covid-19 vaccination without an appointment at the Hancy center, starting this Monday, October 2.
Autumn is officially here, even if the unusually high temperatures might make us believe we are still in the middle of summer. Autumn means vaccination campaigns, as winter and its seasonal illnesses approach.
The Hancy vaccination center offers free and walk-in mandatory or recommended vaccines (DTPolio, whooping cough, MMR, Hepatitis B, Meningitis, Human Papillomavirus).
If you wish to get vaccinated against Covid-19, you can go to the center starting this Monday, October 2. It should be noted that everyone is eligible, starting six months after their last infection or vaccination.
However, this vaccination campaign targets the most vulnerable populations against this coronavirus. Among those at higher risk of developing severe forms of the disease are people aged 65 and over, those with comorbidities, the immunocompromised, pregnant women, and residents in nursing homes for dependent elderly individuals.
“This autumn Covid-19 vaccination campaign includes the use of vaccines adapted to the predominant circulating variants,” specifies the city of Nice.
Seasonal Flu and Human Papillomavirus
The city of Nice is conducting a large vaccination campaign against the Human Papillomavirus. The vaccine will be available from October 9 at the Hancy street center, or at Moulins and Ariane centers every Wednesday from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm outside school vacation periods.
This initiative is in addition to the campaign offered in 29 Nice middle schools and operated by the cityโs health department for 5th-grade classes. Children and adolescents, girls and boys, aged 11 to 19 are concerned.
The vaccination campaign against seasonal flu starts on October 17. The shot is highly recommended each year for those aged 65 and over. However, it remains open to everyone starting at age two.
For the most vulnerable people, elderly or sick, unable to travel for these two vaccines, mobile teams vaccinate at home. It is possible to make an appointment at 04 97 13 49 26.
