The Music Conservatory of the Alpes-Maritimes is moving! The inauguration took place this Saturday, January 20 and allowed us to settle into the new premises of the Conservatory. Previously located on Boulevard Paul Montel, it now sets its roots in the iconic Palais des Rois Sardes. This location, which is part of the cultural heritage of Nice, will host nearly 1000 students and 37 teachers to provide and transmit the passion for music, which is so dear to our region. We can think of Berlioz or Paganini, who were associated with the region and have left a legacy that the Conservatory seeks to pass on.

A Desire to Pass On

The students will benefit from music lessons, dance, and theater provided by artists/educators in the towns and villages of the midland and upland areas. The objective is to pass on passions and knowledge; the teachers enable people of all ages in Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur to learn classical instruments, traditional instruments, and performing arts. The Alpes-Maritimes Conservatory thus contributes to access to knowledge and artistic practice for the widest audience, in line with the cultural policy led by the Department.
