To encourage awareness and dialogue on disability, the association Approche Globale Autisme, in partnership with Cinรฉma Pathรฉ Gaumont Gare du Sud in Nice, is organizing an open-to-all movie-debate evening about disability. From 8 PM, the public will be able to watch two films addressing the theme from different perspectives, followed by interactive debates with healthcare professionals and associations. The entry fee is set at 6 euros.

On the Screen: A Poignant Look and a Comedy on Disability

The first film, “Trop belle pour ce monde“, is a documentary by Aรฏcha Ghembaza, who will also be present. It explores the daily life of Louise, a little autistic girl, and her mother. Their journey reflects that of many autistic children in France and millions of others around the world. Being autistic is a difference that, unfortunately, continues to frighten many.

The second film, “Un pโ€™tit truc en plus“, is a comedy directed by Artus. It tells the story of a father and his son on the run. To escape the police, they find refuge in a holiday camp for young adults with disabilities. Comedian Artus offers a comedy that tackles the subject of disability with a novel perspective, combining lightness and goodwill.

The Time for Exchanges

Following the screenings, an open debate will take place, providing an opportunity to discuss disability with several associations, including APEDV, Regarddons Ensemble, Approche Globale Autisme, Autismeguider, Pilautis06, and Un Sourire pour Enzo. Speakers will enrich the discussions, among them Agnรจs Caroulle from CRA Lenval, autistic artist ร‰lodie Atlantis, Renaud Marson, and Sophie Laurent.
