In 2024, Nice has been a central hub for cinema and audiovisual work. The city hosted 610 days of filming and shooting on its public grounds. The Victorine Studios, managed by the company “Victorine Studios” since September, recorded 540 days of occupation, divided between feature films, commercials, and events.

Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice, emphasizes: “2024 is another record year for filming, both on set and outdoors, confirming the cinematic appeal of our city and its attractiveness to national and international productions.”

The numbers illustrate this dynamic: three feature films, four series, sixteen documentaries, and numerous varied productions, such as commercials, music videos, and photo shoots, took place in the streets of Nice or at the Victorine.

Varied and Prestigious Productions

Several feature films made an impact this year, including Heads of States by Ilya Naishuller, starring John Cena and Idris Elba, and Les Immortelles by Caroline Deruas and Jihane Chouaib. The city also served as a backdrop for series broadcast on Netflix and TF1, such as Qui sรจme le vent with Isabelle Adjani and Carpe Diem with Samuel Le Bihan.

The stages of the Victorine studios were mainly occupied by feature films (485 days). Prestigious brands, such as Lancรดme and Mercedes, also shot commercials there.

In 2024, five projects, including four feature films and a short film, received production assistance. These initiatives reinforce the presence of local professionals and enhance the city’s influence.
