The countdown has begun and the 15th edition of the Nice International Half-Marathon is fast approaching. With less than a month to go until the event, here is an overview of the event and its highlights, which will take place on April 23.
The Half-Marathon, of course, features four main races: the flagship 21.1 km Nice International Half-Marathon, the 10 km alternative, not forgetting the 3 km “All of Nice Runs Against Breast Cancer” in partnership with the RESISTE 06 association. As part of this race, a bracelet in the international colors of the fight against breast cancer will be given to all participants. Finally, the Middle School Running Challenge, open to children aged 9 to 15, offers a new 2 km course that allows middle schoolers to run in the footsteps of champions.
THE MEDAL HAS ARRIVED…
To reward the athletes of the half-marathon and in response to the requests of runners from previous years, the team at Azur Sport Organisation has decided for this edition to give a medal depicting the Bay of Angels to the finishers of the 21.1 km race. This will ensure the event gains international renown among runners from all five continents.
PASTA PARTY… A NEW EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
In another context, the evening before the race hosts the Pasta Party, a friendly and festive evening during which numerous activities will be offered. It offers a unique way for runners to gather and enjoy the typical pasta dish of athletes for 12€. This evening will also feature two events: in the first part of the evening, the POP ROCK group MAUPITY will set the musical atmosphere in the Verdure Theater, thanks to RTL2, and then at 8 pm, the Ligue Cup match between OGC Nice and Nancy will be broadcasted on a giant screen to round off the evening beautifully.
