This demonstration, during which the names of the victims will be mentioned, is a tribute to the 166 women who died in 2007 in such conditions.
As part of this international day for the elimination of violence against women, a meeting on the actions for the psychological care of perpetrators of domestic violence will take place on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at 9:30 am at the MAMAC auditorium. During this meeting, the implementations of the convention on the psychological care of perpetrators of domestic violence will be presented, as well as the protocol relating to the care of situations constituting acts of violence related to domestic partnerships.
Domestic violence is everywhere…
At least one in three women worldwide has been beaten, coerced into sexual acts, or abused in her lifetime. The perpetrator is generally a family member or someone known to the victim. In Europe, one in five women is a victim of violence by her partner.
Every two and a half days in France, a woman dies from the blows of her partner.
