They will be accompanied and supervised by their respective educators, about twenty in total under the authority of Jean Roch Bruneton, the head of the School of Water and organizer for ONN of this highly anticipated event.
The School of Water enables the discovery and learning of 4 disciplines: swimming + water polo + synchronized swimming + diving.
This multidisciplinary teaching from the beginning of water sports practice is an innovation of ONN, which has made it a major asset in terms of training.
Indeed, it provides a new and more complete aquatic base, significant for the development of all these young children for their sporting future. It will allow them in the near or distant future to more easily orient themselves towards the discipline of their choice, suited to their physical and technical abilities.
The parade of participating swimmers will open the event at 5 PM followed by demonstrations from various groups of young competitors: the young water polo players, the junior ballet, and a solo by Charlotte Sageste with synchro swim.
The world’s vice champion in diving, Romuald Borgo, a coach at ONN, will perform some figures alongside a few youths from his section.
The youngest competitors, born in ’98 and later, will start the competition at 5:30 PM. The 25m backstroke and 25m breaststroke races will follow by age group from youngest to oldest.
Jean Roch Bruneton: “Participation, motivation, and performance are essential and indispensable indicators for the aquatic progression of all these little swimmers. It’s an opportunity for some of them to enjoy their sport, discover self-improvement, apply the teachings from the water school, become seasoned in competition, and perhaps have the chance to be scouted for higher levels.”
If that’s the case, an orientation towards the competition group may be offered. Some promising performances are expected.
All children will be rewarded, the best among them with a podium, and all will well deserve the snack provided to them along with the Speedo cap from ONN.
As always, the very family-oriented audience of inter-pool events adds a friendly and jovial touch to this event, which attracts an average of 500 to 600 people to support and encourage their future champions!
