The aim of this event is to allow the public to discover regional cinematographic production. The association Regard Indépendant, organizer of this event, will present a selection of films, both short and feature films, animated films, documentaries, and art videos in premiere.
The kickoff for the week will take place on Monday the 22nd at 8:30 PM at the Mercury with the screening of Paul Vecchiali’s film, A vot’bon coeur, in the presence of the renowned director,
Musical programming includes the presentation of several documentaries, Momo le doyen by Laurent Chevallier and Foniké by Jérémie Lenoir, two aspects of music in Guinea; Aperghis, tempête sous un crâne and Voyage, two films by Catherine Maximoff.
The event will continue its exploration of super8 films with the series produced by the association this year around the theme On the Road… and a new selection of “shot-produced” films by the British Straight8.
The association Aye-Aye, organizer of the Nancy festival, will be invited to present short films by regional directors it supports and will discuss regional action methods.
From Monday to Saturday, the Meetings offer 13 programs, including several carte blanche sessions given to regional associations and schools in the department (Héliotrope, Les Instants Vidéo, Imagespassages, La Réplique, the Mouans-Sartoux Raw Cinema Festival, ESRA Côte d’Azur…). Each session will be followed by a discussion with the directors present.
On Saturday the 27th, the results of the selection of six local authors for the Ateliers Courts program organized jointly with Héliotrope and the La Réplique collective will be announced. Paul Vecchiali will conclude the event with the screening of the film Etre ou ne pas être, made as part of such a program in Marseille,
The event will end with an all-night cinema marathon featuring many short films and popular cinema: a peplum with Alberto Sordi and Brigitte Bardot and an authentic Italian western full of gunpowder and horse rides,
