As the new Nice Lingostière center opens its doors at the end of March and welcomes 50 new brands, the time has come for final adjustments. Dive into the behind-the-scenes of this new center.
While the extension work is still ongoing at the Nice Lingostière shopping center, 100 brands are preparing to coexist over a total area of 20,000m². With Carmila, the owner and manager of the shopping center, at the helm, this extension aims to make the historic center a major attraction hub for Nice and its hinterland. The opening of the new Entrance 2, the provision of 120 new parking spaces, and a landscaping effort throughout the site have significantly transformed the area since last summer. Currently on-site, the development works keep the busy days of the employees at the shopping center well organized. Concrete, tiles to be poured, as well as ceilings to be perfected, the time has come for the creation of the stores.
Renovated for the last time in 2014, this shopping center, initially opened in 1978, is a true monument for the city of Nice. Welcoming over 5.5 million visitors per year, the strengths of the Nice Lingostière shopping center are numerous. Retail and restaurant offerings, a facade visible from the roadways, an architectural project in harmony with the environment, exceptional parking – the range of Nice Lingostière is appealing and attractive. And this should only improve, notably with this extension project featuring more than 50 new brands.
### The new shopping destination for the people of Nice and its hinterland
Scheduled for completion at the end of the extensions are the installations of 50 brands such as Kiabi, Mango, Cultura, and H&M. Ludovic Boudet, the director of the shopping center, is delighted with this establishment: “Nice Lingostière will welcome 50 new modern brands that are well-regarded by our customers. Textiles, beauty, optics, telecommunications, video games, restaurants…” Nice Lingostière will resemble a kind of amusement park dedicated to shopping. A place where visitors will spend the day. With stores galore, spots to recharge, and brands dedicated to relaxation, the shopping center will take on the appearance of paradise.
Nice Lingostière is going to take on a whole new look. A total of 100 brands with international names, a dining area, but also a new forecourt and landscaped terraces. Despite a context marked by Covid-19, the extension of the shopping center should not be delayed much further, with the goal to revive the economic activity of the merchants as well as to provide a quality space for visitors.
