Starting today and until Monday, January 6, the Nice Premium team will take a few well-deserved days off after a year that has been one of the most wonderful spent by your side. The entire Nice Premium team wishes you and your loved ones excellent end-of-year holidays!
Even though activities won’t completely stop as the news never takes a break. You will find our articles and publications at a lighter pace over the coming days and until Monday, January 6. This year has once again been beautiful and fruitful for us with improved results and, consequently, a larger readership.
However, it’s mostly about setting the course for 2014 that Nice Premium will focus on during these few days of rest, which will also be very studious (thanks to teleconferences) to prepare the best for the upcoming year. A year that will be very rich in events with the upcoming municipal elections from Nice to Villefranche through Carros or even Saint Martin Vรฉsubie, the European elections, certainly less popular but just as interesting, the implementation of the school schedule reform, the rise in the ranking of our favorite aiglons, and also the Carnival, this year the King of Gastronomy.
The Municipal elections, of course, will be the main course of these upcoming months before the actual event set for Sunday, March 23 for all candidates and March 30 for those who make it past the first round. The Nice Premium editorial team, not being extensive, will closely follow the paths of various candidates in Villefranche-sur-Mer, Carros, Saint Laurent du Var, and Saint Martin Vรฉsubie. An identical questionnaire will be sent to them in the coming days, and their responses will be shared with you upon receipt. Likewise, as in previous campaigns, many interviews, face-to-face meetings, cross-interviews, and “special reports” will provide you with all the information on these local elections.
For the two rounds, we also stick with a team that doesnโt do too badly. Our teams will be on the ground in the candidates’ offices, in polling stations, and at their exits, and in the evening, live from the headquarters of those present in the second round. For the grand finale, a complete setup will be in place to ensure you don’t miss anything from this final round.
Thus, following the European elections which, given the local news, are not yet really a topic of conversation, unlike that of OGC Nice which, after a too-long series of defeats, managed to string together three victories against Sochaux then Evian, showing determination that was pleasing to see. As every year for 8 years, Nice Premium will have us follow, through its eyes, what happens in the red and black house. The school schedules will also be one of our consistent themes, unless the news (again!) signs off on their disappearance. We will try to understand if it works and, if so, how it works, and if not, how it could work.
And finally, this year will be the Year of Gastronomy in Nice with no less than two major anniversaries: 130 years for the Nice Carnival and 100 years for its hotel school Paul Augier. Enough to delight your eyes as well as your taste buds in collaboration with the Cercle de la Capelina dโOr and the Label Cuisine Nissarde, our new partners but above all friends.
As you can see, the year is ending well, and we look forward to starting the new one with you to continue this great and beautiful adventure that we have been sharing with you for over 10 years!
