Nice is now an essential destination for culture and music, and on June 21st, the city will host France 2’s Fête de la Musique! Between 150,000 and 200,000 people are expected for this popular, festive, and free event in the heart of Nice.
Every year, this program produced by Daniela Lumbroso attracts 4.5 million viewers. The three and a half hours of live performances by music stars will be presented by Patrick Sébastien.
The final location for this grand celebration will be known in a few weeks: either Place Masséna or Quai des États-Unis.
For Christian Estrosi, Deputy-Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis: “The City of Nice has demonstrated its expertise in organizing large-scale events in many ways, notably with the Nice Jazz Festival. Each year, we organize nearly 1,500 events. We know how to offer large-scale and high-quality events while maintaining a festive and popular spirit. Organizing the Fête de la Musique in Nice is about bringing together all the people of Nice around a common passion: music and sharing.”
After the Telethon, two years ago, once again, the capital of the French Riviera is chosen by France Télévisions for hosting a major event.
