Official launch of the five days of sports and recreational activities dedicated to people with disabilities

Starting this Monday, five days of sports and recreational activities will be dedicated to people with disabilities.

This festive and friendly event allows individuals with mental, psychological, physical, or sensory disabilities to be valued through adapted sports practices and thus experience the same sensations as able-bodied participants.

The activities are tailored to each participant’s abilities and allow all expected participants to explore different types of activities. Each group is organized to include participants with similar abilities.

The activities offered: pรฉtanque, blowpipe, boccia, bowling games, Molkkรฟ games, kayaking, catamaran, sailing, sea trips, joรซlette, mountain biking, tandem biking, swimming in an outdoor pool, climbing, tennis/tennis for wheelchair users, tricycles, Lyonnaise boules, trampoline, fencing and touch rugby, zumba.

New additions to this 2018 edition: horseback riding, all-terrain wheelchair, costume races, and road safety awareness.

Participants: nearly 2,000 people are expected, including children and adults with disabilities, from 50 specialized institutions or associations in the department.
