Even though Nice has shown a better side in recent weeks, the disastrous start to the season has done a lot of harm to Lucien Favre. It is not impossible that he will be replaced before the end of the World Cup.

His first season was more than successful with a second-place finish behind Bayern, but after nearly two years with the Gelsenkirchen club, he was dismissed from his position.
He resumed his career in Russia with Spartak Moscow where he truly excelled. Leading the championship for a large part of the season, he was repeatedly awarded the title of Russian Coach of the Month. Nevertheless, he left the Moscow club to return to Germany at the season’s end.
In the midst of a crisis in Autumn 2021, RB Leipzig called on him to get the team back on track. Without really managing to stamp his mark on the group, he won the German National Cup and kept his position until September 2022, when he was dismissed following a Champions League defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk.
