Searches were conducted this Tuesday at the headquarters of two French clubs as part of an investigation into suspicious transfers. OGC Nice is specifically involved in one of them.
It was Le Parisien that revealed this information: the headquarters of AS Saint-Etienne and SCO Angers were searched this Tuesday as part of an investigation into suspicious transfers carried out by the two clubs.
The transfers in question are those of Adil Aouchiche (from Paris Saint-Germain to Saint-Etienne) and Billal Brahimi (from Angers to Nice).
The Forez club, recently relegated to Ligue 2, and SCO are suspected of engaging in illicit practices linked to three agents. They were all taken into custody Tuesday morning in Nanterre for “illegal practice of the profession of sports agent” and “aggravated money laundering”.
Even though it is OGC Nice that facilitated the acquisition of Billal Brahimi this winter for 7 million, the Riviera club does not seem to be targeted by the investigation.
In any case, this transfer is causing some trouble for the Gym. It had already had a particularly detrimental impact on the relationship between Julien Fournier and Christophe Galtier.
