It’s no secret that Christophe Galtier’s adventure on the Cรดte d’Azur seems close to ending. Even though no official announcement has been made, the former LOSC coach is expected to join PSG. To replace him, the management of OGC Nice had considered several coaches, one of whom has just signed with another club.
Even when OGC Niceโs season is over, the club from the Cรดte d’Azur remains at the heart of the news during the summer break. Usually, it’s through action in the transfer market that Gym makes headlines, but this year everything has come to a standstill.
With Christophe Galtierโs likely departure to Paris still not finalized, the clubโs management is searching for his replacement. Three coaches were targeted: Marco Rose (formerly of Dortmund), Vincent Kompany (formerly of Anderlecht), and the former coach (2016-2018) Lucien Favre.
Although it seems that the former Nice coach is the leading candidate to succeed Galtier, one of the potential choices has been ruled out.
Indeed, the Belgian Vincent Kompany has embarked on a new adventure. The former Manchester City captain has just been appointed as the coach of Burnley, even though the club has just been relegated to the Championship (second division of English football).
