OJMED 2010 – Euro-Mediterranean Judo Open, this Saturday, March 13, in Nice

jpg_ojm-petit.jpg Saturday, March 13, 2010, the Euro-Mediterranean Men’s Team Judo Open of Nice will see 20 international teams and the best French clubs compete at the Serge Leyrit hall in Nice starting from 10 am.

For the 2nd consecutive year, Olympic Judo Nice, the top club in the PACA league with 895 licensed members and more than 1,200 adherents, is organizing the Euro-Mediterranean Judo Open.

Expected on the Nice tatami are the Senior men’s teams from the best French clubs (Top 16) as well as international teams from the Mediterranean basin and beyond.

On the lineup:

  • Among internationals: Spain, Algeria, Italy.
  • Among French clubs: Sainte-Geneviève Sports, Alliance Judo 91, Arts Martiaux Asnières, ACBB, Oise Judo Picardie, Montreuil RCS, and Olympic Judo Nice…

Mass training with Loïc Pietri, Junior World Champion 2009

In the late afternoon, before the final phases, Loïc Piétri, judoka from Olympic Judo Nice, reigning Junior World Champion, and 2009 Sport Victory of the City of Nice, will lead a mass training for the young judokas of the club.

This event is an opportunity to bring together Mediterranean countries and share the values related to sport. The Azur public is invited free of charge to attend this high-level sporting event and share the values of judo.

PROGRAM

10 am: Eliminations
4 pm: Mass training with Loïc Pietri
5 pm: Final phases
6 pm: Award ceremony
