The event will take place on Sunday, July 3, 2011, in the sumptuous setting of the Barbary villa in Carros village.
For the first time this year, the city of Carros and the village festival committee have decided to combine the Olive Festival and the Saint-Claude Festival into one big day.
On this occasion, the public will be able to enjoy, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., local craft stands with a special emphasis on olives.
Also on the program of the Olive and Saint-Claude Festival: a religious ceremony at the Saint-Claude church in the village (9:30 a.m.), a meal cooked over a wood fire by the village festival committee (1:00 p.m.), as well as quizzes and the essential olive oil contest (prize-giving at 6:00 p.m.).
