The e-forum of the CRDP offers multiple resources on technological platforms to engage students and encourage their participation in class. The space is available for teachers or parents. Teachers can attend workshops to learn how to use this equipment. It opens up possibilities for potential classroom applications. Digital tablets are being tested this year in 5 schools to determine their educational value. Michรจle Ottombre-Borsoni, director of the CRDP, and Claire Lovisi, rector of the Nice Academy, inaugurated this e-forum on Wednesday.

Digital Tools

Available at the CRDP, digital tablets allow a group of students to conduct research and share it with others through network synchronization.

The interactive whiteboard already present in schools enables less abstract learning by transitioning from theory to practice in subjects like physics and chemistry. It can now also interact with students’ tablets, allowing them to become active participants rather than passive observers.

A specific projector is also available at the CRDP. Mounted on the wall, it can project onto a table or the floor. With a stylus that operates via infrared rather than touch, children and teachers can navigate, for example, through edugรฉo to explore maps.

A collection of DVD-ROMs is also presented. These are films that have received the national education award, accompanied by explanations to help teachers introduce the program. An additional educational tool for making learning enjoyable for children.

Touch screens are also on display. Their aim is to connect multiple resources on the same subject. For example, with the artist Chagall, it’s possible to explore a book, watch videos, and prepare for a museum visit. It’s important to know that the CRDP has a renovated educational collection of 5,000 references.

The CRDP also offers a virtual tour of the sustainable development awareness project. It aims to discuss these issues with students, making them tangible with illustrations from the Var Valley. Soon, posters introduced virtually will be distributed in primary school classes. Another project called “Eviva Carnaval” introduces students to the culture and heritage of the Nice Carnival.

Languages can be taught with online solutions suitable for computer rooms, tablets, or classrooms. This tool enables students to become independent learners, thereby allowing better progress.

The final tool: a two-wheeler driving simulator. It is intended to raise awareness about road safety. It can be loaned to educational institutions.

Finally, noteworthy is the digital resource portal Correlyce, which is available for free in the e-forum. Once discovered, schools can subscribe. Students and their families also have limited access to it.
