For 20 years, the Paris Hospitals-France Hospitals Foundation, chaired by Mrs. Bernadette Chirac, has organized the “Opération Pièces Jaunes” (Yellow Coins Operation), which aims to collect donations to fund projects designed and carried out by hospital teams in pediatric services.
Thanks to the support of the city and the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, Nice has become the essential meeting place for this major solidarity event.
Yesterday, at Place Gautier, in the heart of the old town of the azure capital, a big festive day was organized in the presence of Mrs. Bernadette Chirac, Christian Estrosi, Christian Karembeu, and Lorie, Patrons of the Pièces Jaunes operation, Marine Lorphelin, Miss France 2013, and Clément Lefert, Patron and Olympic swimming champion.
A festive meeting point, with numerous activities on the program including brass bands, folk groups, fundraising stands, face painting, badge making, and a stage performance, which made this day a great success.
1.4 tons of yellow coins were collected in Nice for the benefit of hospitalized children and teenagers. The generosity of the people of Nice did not waver during this 23rd edition of the Pièces Jaunes.
