Surely, the technical file will be of paramount importance in the final dossier of the various pre-applicant cities for the French bid, but unity always being a strength, the support of local communities and municipalities will also weigh in the final choice of the 45 voters of the CNOSF. After the support of the Alpes-Maritimes General Council, the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Urban Community, and the PACA Regional Council, the Nice file has gathered more than a hundred supports from neighboring municipalities of the Nice area.
From Antibes to Cannes, passing through Carros and Menton, the cities and villages of the Alpes-Maritimes have thus grouped around the Nice candidacy, which in a few days will compete against the files of Annecy, Grenoble, and Pelvoux. There is no doubt that this cohesion will be as important as that of the big names who have also chosen Nice 2018: Valรฉrie Nicolas, Alain Bernard, Christel Pascal, Stรฉphane Diagana, Didier Deschamps, Alain Prost, Nikola Karabatic, and Jean-Pierre Dick.
The next step, therefore, this Wednesday in the premises of the CNOSF before waiting for March 18, the date on which the French National Olympic and Sports Committee will decide who among Annecy, Grenoble, Pelvoux, or Nice will enter the closed circle of applicant cities to the candidacy at the International Olympic Committee.
