Will the composition of the lists for the Regional Elections in PACA resemble a sports transfer market? In any case, it seems to look that way!
Daniel Philippot, departmental president of the CNIP, the oldest French party, that of a certain Jacques Mรฉdecin, running mate of Christian Estrosi, is leaving the right-wing list and moving a bit further to the right: he will be on the list of Marion Le Pen (and Olivier Bettati in the Alpes-Maritimes).
His motivation? โChristian Estrosi has decided to abandon all right-wing identifiers. He now believes that his victory will only happen through an agreement with the left in the second round.โ
Given these circumstances, the departmental board of the CNIP has decided to support the only right-wing list capable of defeating the left and, tomorrow, of governing the region without being a daily hostage to the Socialist Party, the Greens, the PCF, and the LCR.
Upstream, Daniel Philippot explains that already at the national level, the CNIP had been sidelined in the regional lists in favor of the centrists of the UDI and, recently, the Modem.
For him: โBetraying its voters, its natural allies, and its ideas in favor of yet another position is an unbearable vision of politics for all those on the right who have convictions and ideals.โ
