The European label for beaches and marinas was awarded to only 8 cities on the Côte d’Azur out of 502 nationally.
According to Patrick Allemand, “The result is striking. Regarding the beaches, only 4 beaches in Nice, there are 8 in Antibes and 9 in Cannes.”
The elected official criticizes the situation: “It’s regrettable because, both for the people of Nice and for the tourists, Nice has a duty of excellence to fulfill to strengthen its attractiveness, which the city is losing to Antibes and Cannes, where almost all the beaches are recognized.”
