The Carlone Campus will host the third edition of the Employment and Public Careers Forum on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Organized by the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture, in partnership with France Travail and the Côte d’Azur University, the event aims to bridge the gap between public recruiters and candidates, with more than 1,000 positions offered.

The public sector is meeting in Nice. On April 21, 2026, the Carlone Campus will host exchanges between public employers and candidates. Students, employees, freelancers, or apprentices are expected. The goal is clear: inform, guide, and recruit.

The day will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Twenty-two employer stands are announced. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the State, local authorities, or even the hospital and medical-social sector. Several administrations and institutions will participate in the event. The Alpes-Maritimes prefecture is among the organizers, alongside structures such as the education authority, the Nice University Hospital, and the security forces.

More than 1,000 positions are available quickly. The contracts on offer are varied: part-time jobs, contractual contracts, or non-competitive recruitments are mentioned. All profiles may be considered in various fields. Administrative, technical, animation, catering, defense, justice, education, or health are listed.

The event is aimed both at people looking for a first job and those engaged in a career change. Candidates interested in apprenticeships will also find information onsite. A diversity of career paths is highlighted.

Five partner stands complete the setup. Structures like the Mission Locale, Cap Emploi, and support systems will be present. The aim is to offer broader support. Visitors can benefit from personalized advice.

Three round tables to understand the career paths

Three round tables will structure the day. Each session will address a specific aspect of the public sector.

The first meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. The theme will focus on the modalities of access to public jobs. It will allow participants to understand the different access routes to the public sector (competitive exams, contracts, apprenticeships, support schemes) and identify the one that matches their profile and project. Representatives from the three branches of the public sector will speak to share their experiences.

The second round table will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The subject will concern careers and mobility tools. The aim will be to give participants the keys to building and advancing their professional careers in the public sector by discovering mobility opportunities, tools, and schemes. The topic of career development will be addressed. The possibilities for changing positions, services, or territories will be discussed. The exchanges will be based on concrete experiences.

The last meeting is scheduled from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The theme concerns the diversity of professions. The primary intention will be to reveal the richness and variety of public sector careers to help participants broaden their professional perspectives and identify potential vocations. The professions presented will cover various sectors. Administrative, social, digital, or environmental are mentioned. The speakers will share professional journeys.

The Alpes-Maritimes Prefecture explains that “joining the public service is the promise of a meaningful career, the prospect of developing varied professional skills, and the opportunity to change jobs, environments, and territories throughout your career, all while staying within the public sector!”

Entry will be free with no prerequisites required. Job offers are also available online. A platform allows you to view the positions offered.

The appointment is set at the Carlone Campus, located on Boulevard Édouard Herriot. The day promises to be a direct meeting opportunity between institutions and candidates. Visitors will be able to ask questions, submit applications, and consider a career plan.
