This Saturday, in Aix-en-Provence, Patrick Mottard was unanimously elected the Regional President of the PACA region of the Radical Left Party by the delegates from the federations of Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, and Vaucluse.
The new President will focus on coordinating the stances and actions of the Radicals in a region where the left, following the republican withdrawal in the last elections, no longer has any elected officials.
He, along with his committee, will support the campaigns initiated at the national level, the next of which, dedicated to defending Secularism, is planned in the coming weeks.
After his election, Patrick Mottard kindly shared his thoughts: “It is a great honor for our federation, which has gained much of its credibility thanks to Jean-Christophe Picard, my predecessor.
I will be assisted by a vice-president for each department. This will help form a committee that will quickly get to work: for example, to support the party’s extensive explanatory campaign on secularism.
Additionally, I intend to visit each of the concerned departments as soon as possible to enhance my understanding of local situations (with a pleasant side effect: wonderful trips to look forward to in the Alps, Provence, and the Côte d’Azur).”
