Patrick Moya in recycling mode

Latest News

Patrick Moya, the well-known artist from Nice, visited the premises of the association Rรฉsines on Friday, February 3rd, located on Avenue Lรฉon Noรซl in Cannes. This social enterprise recycles the city’s event tarps and is supported by the Caisse dโ€™Epargne Cรดte dโ€™Azur.

The artist was able to admire the craftsmanship of the sewing workshop, composed of individuals in job reintegration programs overseen by a leather goods professional, Marie Valencia. She created a range of recycled products such as bags, tote bags, poufs, checkbook holders, and diary covers with vibrant colors from the tarps used during Moya’s major exhibition in 2011 at the Malmaison in Cannes.

The artist showed great interest in this initiative and proposed to showcase these recycled items at his next stand at the Nice fair and in his virtual store online.

Patrick Moya, also a specialist in the virtual world of “Second Life,” does not rule out the idea of reproducing a virtual “Rรฉsines” workshop on his island, thus giving these recycled products a “second life!”
