At a time when the energy transition is becoming a universal “must,” a new original and festive event, imagined and organized by the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, invites participants to pedal to generate green energy that will then illuminate the Museum’s facade!
The project was born out of a challenge. How do we explain to our visitors that green energy helps protect the blue planet? What if we offered them the chance to pedal to generate electricity and light up the Museum’s facade?
Here we are: from Saturday, November 5 to Monday, November 7, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, everyone is invited to hop on a bike and set an example—visitors, passers-by, Monegasque employees, young and old alike (free participation / open access).
In total, 30 bicycles will be set up on the forecourt. The energy generated by the pedaling will reveal the new lighting of the iconic Museum facade and highlight its architectural details.
