Dj set. Renowned DJ and producer, Ellen Allien is indisputably the Queen of Berlin nights. Plages Électroniques is proud to welcome the founder of BPitch Control, a recognized electro music label (Paul Kalkbrenner, Apparat, Modeselektor…) through which she has been able to impose the “made in Berlin” techno sound around the globe. Ellen Allien’s voice is an instrument in its own right: clear or electronically manipulated, it blends with the music in a delightful harmony. Delicate and precise, Ellen Allien’s electro is a true invitation to travel. Through her mixes and regular productions, she remains one of the key figures in techno culture for years.
JULIAN JEWEIL • Cocoon – Plus8 / MARSEILLE
Live. Julian Jeweil is a pure product of the major electro nights in the south of France in the late 90s where he discovered the genre, later making a mark in the Nuits Rouges. The guy took off after signing with the reference techno label Cocoon, and tours around the world, where his mix of dreamy melodies and devastating bass gains more and more followers. Julian Jeweil has played in Mexico, Japan, the USA, Germany… and also remixed a track for Moby.
ZHAO • Anozer / NICE
Live. Zhao is an emerging artist on the techno scene of southern France. Founder of the label Anozer, he has already released several successful EPs and remixes. Things have accelerated for Zhao since releasing EPs for Simian Mobile Disco, Tiga, Teki of Sound Pellegrino, and Kill the DJ with British producer Matt Walsh! Thanks to his work, he has gained support from major names like Richie Hawtin, Troy Pierce, Danton Eeprom, and Laurent Garnier.
