On October 9, 2006, the meeting between Piedmontese gastronomy and businesses from the Côte d’Azur will take place again in the prestigious setting of the Negresco Hotel in Nice. Twenty-nine Turin-based companies will present some of the great gastronomic specialties that make the Piedmontese city one of the world capitals of taste.
Organized by the CNA, the National Confederation of Craft and Small and Medium Enterprises of the province of Turin, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Nice, with the support of the Piedmont Region, the day foresees numerous meetings between artisanal companies from the Turin province’s food sector and local operators in gastronomy, the hotel industry, and catering. At 1:00 PM, a tasting of typical products will be organized for industry operators to introduce them to some of these products.
French operators have shown great interest in this event, and the significant number of responses confirms the participation of more than 70 companies, including wholesalers, distributors, and sector operators.
Italy, and more specifically the cross-border regions, represent the primary commercial partner for the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region with 10.8% of imports equivalent to €2.624 billion and 16.4% of exports equivalent to €2.484 billion, with a predominance in the food sector.
