From July 1st to September 18th, 2011 at the International Perfume Museum, 2 bd du Jeu de Ballon โ Grasse
The magic of perfume and taste unfolds through a journey that is both poetic, playful, artistic, and scientific for both “young” and “old”!
For many of us, the world of perfumery is a wonderful secret realm hiding prestigious and varied professions.
Through this theme, it is an opportunity to spark the natural curiosity of everyone, to be seduced, and even to immerse oneself in an olfactory and gustatory atmosphere, for an imaginary journey through time and space.
Right from the entrance of the exhibition, children and parents are drawn into various activities created around the world of perfume and flavors.
A range of activities and workshops that will allow everyone to discover the history of perfume from a different and original perspective, while also awakening the taste buds.
Interactive activities: for visitors to discover certain realities, like in science centers, they must be able to handle, test, play, and touch.
Scenery: staging and settings that transport the visitorโs imagination right to the heart of the theme, while having an educational approach for the little ones and young children.
“Special” spaces for the “little ones”: the exhibition is built on several levels of understanding, one of which is reserved for young children. It will be, in a way, “their exhibition within the exhibition”.
2 spaces for this exhibition:
-Temporary exhibition halls, MIP-1:
“Miam-Miam” Exhibition around taste: where does our food come from?
“The Self Info Meal” Exhibition: what do we eat? Is it possible to combine balance in diet and gastronomy? Children are invited to take a meal tray and compose their menu to learn all about the energy contributions and nutritional values of their meals.
-Permanent exhibition halls: “The Children’s Pathway”.
Development of the existing children’s pathway enriched with new activities.
The “children’s pathway” is part of a mediation project resulting from the scientific and cultural program developed by the Conservation des Musรฉes de Grasse.
The “Parfum de Rรฉcrรฉ” exhibition is an opportunity to enrich this pathway with new playful and educational activities that must integrate into the existing museography.
The “children’s pathway” addresses several points in the museum and will primarily aim to highlight a part of the collections.
Through various manipulative activities, children and parents will be invited to discover the different themes addressed in the various exhibition areas of the museum.
