With 25 challenges and 8 hours of racing, Pop In the City is the highly sought-after urban women’s raid that allows participants to discover European cities like never before.
Powered by three young entrepreneurs, Pop In the City is an experiential tourism happening for adult women who are adventurous, curious, athletic or not, daring, and/or hungry for intense emotions.
Pop In the City is a life-changing race, as one participant, a “popeuse,” has put it.
After Utrecht and Porto, it’s in Nice that the “popeuses” of Pop In the City will compete with audacity and craziness to complete as many of the 25 fun, physical, and sensational challenges as possible.
Classified into five categories (art, sport, extreme, culture, and solidarity), these original challenges are explicitly designed to push participants beyond their limits and to use ingenuity. Rowing on the river with the local team, abseiling down a 60-meter medieval tower, tasting pig heads, or storming the fire station are some striking examples from past editions; because yes, the challenges of Nissa La Bella are indeed classified top secret.
“Pop In the City is, above all, a way to discover a city differently,” explains Clémentine Charles, co-founder of the women’s raid. “A true meeting place and a site for surpassing oneself; solidarity and discovery motivate and inspire our participants who are thirsty for human experience. It’s friendly, accessible, unifying… and really fun!”
Sponsored by Sophie Jovillard, presenter of the show Echappées Belles on France 5, and supported by the city of Nice, the event has the pleasure of welcoming Camille Muffat and Charlotte Bonnet, Nice swimmers who are respectively an Olympic Champion and a bronze medalist in relay at the London Olympics.
Meet at 8:30 AM on the Promenade des Anglais in front of the Théâtre de Verdure for the start of the race.
According to the organizers, Christian Estrosi will be in charge of organizing the warm-up for the “popeuses”… Evil be to him who evil thinks!
