Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, will present the winners of the 5th Health Call for Projects “Technological Innovations, Combating Cancer & Alzheimer’s Disease,” in the presence of Professor Agnรจs Buzyn, President of the 2012 jury and President of the National Cancer Institute, and Professor Daniel Benchimol, General Councilor, Deputy Mayor of Nice, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
The Health Call for Projects of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes: Support for medical and/or research teams in innovative projects
22 winners were selected by the jury as part of the 5th Health Call for Projects, launched in November 2011, on the theme “technological innovations, combating cancer and Alzheimer’s disease,” for a total amount of 3.13 million euros.
The main objective of this initiative is to promote or support innovative projects developed by teams from Alpes-Maritimes, aiming at improving the prevention, screening, diagnosis, or management of diseases.

Let us recall that since 2006, the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes has selected 107 files for a total of 18 million euros, in order to provide medical teams and researchers in the department with expanded and modernized material resources, promoting excellence in care.
