This Sunday will see the first round of the presidential election: 48.7 million citizens are registered on the electoral lists.
According to estimates, there will be approximately 70% of voters.
Beyond knowing who the two candidates will be to participate in the second round on April 24, this election will allow, at a local level, a better understanding of the voters’ orientations in view of the legislative elections that will follow in the coming weeks.
For the Alpes-Maritimes department, the main data to remember are:
• Number of communes: 163
• Number of voters: 778,661
Commune with the smallest number of voters: Les Mujouls with 33 voters
Commune with the largest number of voters: Nice with 221,000 voters
• Number of polling stations: 981
• Polling station hours: from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
An extension of closing time to 8:00 PM is granted to the 34 most populated communes, including, of course, Nice.
