Unacceptable violence was committed last Saturday in Paris during an undeclared gathering on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, called notably by members of the so-called “yellow vests” movement.
In anticipation of a possible day of demonstration by the “yellow vests” in Paris on Saturday, December 1st, it appears that two notifications have so far reached the Prefecture of Police. None of them pertain to the Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
Christophe CASTANER, Minister of the Interior, and Laurent NUNEZ, Secretary of State to the Minister of the Interior, remind that the right to demonstrate must be exercised within a legal framework, allowing for the safety of people and property to be guaranteed.
