Since November 13, 2018, and the promulgation of the so-called “Castaner” circular concerning informing Mayors about the risks of Islamist radicalization in their municipalities, the fight against radicalization and terrorism has entered a new era. This circular aims to provide municipalities with new information from the State.
In response to these challenges, Jean-Charles Brisard, Founding President of the Center for Terrorism Analysis, will bring his expertise to the city of Nice as a special advisor responsible for the prevention of radicalization and the fight against terrorism.
Jean-Charles Brisard will be tasked with perfecting and further improving the overall strategy of the City of Nice in combating fundamentalist tendencies, establishing appropriate monitoring of identified groups, and thus implementing the circular of November 13, 2018.
